Most judgments delivered

Ordered by the number of judgments each judge has delivered in the corpus. A judge is credited with a judgment where the coram names them and the text records it as theirs; otherwise the whole bench carries it.

Frequently asked questions

How is a judge's record built?
Each judgment is read for its coram line. The bench is extracted, matched against the judge register, and the judgment is attributed to every judge who sat. Where the text names the author of the judgment, that judge is credited with writing it; where it does not, the record shows the bench as a whole.
What counts as one judgment?
A single delivered decision. A ruling on an application and the judgment on the merits are counted separately, because they are reported separately and are cited separately.
How are dissents and separate opinions handled?
They are indexed against the judge who wrote them, and never counted twice. Every case brief with a split bench shows the majority and the minority positions side by side, each with a pinpoint to the paragraph.
Can I see the bench for a particular case?
Yes. Every brief lists its coram with a link to each judge's profile, and any search can be filtered by judge — so you can read a line of authority as one judge has developed it.

Put a judge's record beside your argument.

See how a bench has treated the point you are running, and read the judgments either way — the majority and the dissent.
